This sensational 4.9 SS was delivered new to West Nyack, New York, and fitted with the desirable five-speed ZF manual gearbox. It was recently the recipient of a meticulous five-year rotisserie restoration performed by the consignor, a Ghibli specialist with over 40 years of experience restoring European sports cars. The Ghibli was completely disassembled, and the body was chemically stripped, neutralized, etched, and acid dipped. The engine, suspension, and differential were rebuilt, various ancillary systems attended to, and its five-speed manual gearbox received new seals and bearings. The Maserati was repainted in black with Glasurit paint and the interior was retrimmed in cream leather, with the dash re-covered in correct “mouse fur” sourced from Italy. The consignor’s thoughtful dedication is evident in the smallest details, such as the correct Arman wiper arms. To see a Ghibli restored to this level is uncommon, and this example’s handsome colors and 4.9 SS specification make it even more appealing. Accompanied by a tool kit, jack, manual, restoration photos and a restoration summary, this is a fantastic representation of one of Maserati’s most usable and highly acclaimed road cars

-Optional Borrani Wire Wheels The Maserati Ghibli has been considered by many to be the most beautiful Sports/GT car ever created. This particular Ghibli is the much sought-after SS model with the bigger 4.9-liter engine. This matching-numbers car has recently been the subject of a completed nut and bolt restoration, in its original factory colors. It left the factory with the desirable options of wire wheels, air conditioning, power steering, and very rare, fitted luggage. The combination of singular options and exclusive restoration makes this Ghibli SS a unique opportunity for the demanding collector
