This offered example from 1970 received a complete and documented revision in ’88 -’89, after which the last owner enjoyed it for a couple of years, before it was carefully put aside in 1993. When we found this Ghibli in its stable, This Maserati was, except for one repaint, in completely original condition: from engine and suspension to even carpets and spare wheel. To guarantee our RNR quality after a long time of no driving, we have overhauled all technical parts: the engine, gearbox, suspension, brakes, etc … (including an extensive series of photos). It’s needless to say that this very original Maserati Ghibli is absolute perfection!

In brief:
-matching numbers
-Certificato d’origine
-Original interior
-Original toolkit
-Original spare wheel
– Recently overhauled engine
-Lots of history

This elegant beast looks the way it drives and sounds: incredible. A very unique car with a lot of potential investment!

This Ghibli was completely restored by marque specialist Martin Logé, in 2006. It is matching number, it has been awarded at several concours in the recent years including, Best in Class and Best of Marque at Concorso Italiano.
Constructed in January 1970, AM115/1476 was dispatched to Canada and delivered by air to Citroen Canada Ltd. of Montreal, where it was reportedly delivered to a Citroen executive. Sometime later, the Ghibli joined a private collection and remained in British Columbia for approximately 25 years.
In 2005, Maserati specialist Martin Logé of Santa Barbara, California purchased the Ghibli and performed a complete restoration with the aim of creating a concours-quality show car. Mr. Logé completed the extensive process in 2006 and the Ghibli made its post-restoration debut at Concorso Italiano, where it earned Best in Class (Early V-8), Best of Marque, and Best Representation of a Giugiaro Design.
In recognition of this impressive performance, the official Maserati Club International publication published a photograph of noted classic car personality Keith Martin presenting this prize-winning Ghibli with its Best of Marque award.
In early 2011, Maserati Classiche and the department Manager Fabio Collina prepared a dossier of factory documentation that included copies of the original Certificate of Origin, factory test data, build card, end of line data sheet, and delivery records. In addition to these important records, this Maserati includes a tool roll, jack, owner’s manual, original sales brochure, restoration photographs, and several magazine articles.

This motorcar was ordered new by Rolma Automobili of Via Fontana, Milano in October of 1969 in Beige (106. Y. 56) with Senape (PAC 1775) leather, a becker radio and power steering. Once dispatched from the factory on the 19th of January 1970 to Rolma, she was sold to her first owner Dr Enrico Amelotti from Pavia, Italy. Now registered PV 221425, she received a service by the factory at 10,650 km.
By 1984, the motorcar had been imported to Pennsylvania in the United States and registered to Samuel D Burgio; then remaining in his ownership until 2012. Now sold by the Beverly Hills Car Club, she found a new home in London, United Kingdom with her current custodian.
Embarking on a no expense spared restoration at the end of 2014 that came to fruition in 2017, by the world-renowned McGrath Maserati; with invoices on file exceeding £120,000 from McGrath alone. This motorcar comes with her Maserati Classiche file, build sheets and is ready to be enjoyed with little miles completed since her complete rebuild.

1990 for sale in FL./USA, asking $100.000, restored

The example presented comes from an important German Maserati collection. The car spent many years in the US from where it was imported at the end of the 1980s. It is fitted with the 4.7-litre engine rather than its V8 4.9-litre Type SS engine. Our Ghibli belonged to the Serre Collection, and was parked next to a 275 GTB/4 when it sold to the current owner in 2011. The engine, which has been completely rebuilt, retains all its capability, as evidenced by the report of a compression test of its eight cylinders, available in the file that comes with the car. The ignition has been refurbished, filters and fluids changed, and the carburettors and clutch serviced. In order to ensure that one can fully enjoy the performance a Ghibli is capable of, the brakes and steering box have also been totally refurbished. Our collector, who owns two other Ghibli, ran a high-tech company developing prototype engines for the top German constructors. Using the expertise at his disposal, he had new wheels made to match the original Campognolo wheels but which are two inches wider. Approved by the rigorous TÜV laboratory, these wheels were all cut from a huge alloy block destined for the aeronautical industry. They have an appearance that is identical in every respect to the original wheels but with a diameter of 17 inches rather than 15. An enhancement that perfects a car already highly desirable presented in this blue livery with leather interior, ready to satisfy the most demanding enthusiast.

Serial number: AM115/1526 38,964 miles, Celeste Chiaro (sky blue) with original black leather 4.9 liter, 5-speed, A/C, power steering, power windows, and Borrani wire wheels – original The paint was redone along with the wire wheels and chrome to make this a very nice car….the car really needs to be seen to be fully appreciated. As evidence, this car won first place in its class amongst more serious competition at the Huntington Beach Concourse de Elegance… the only car show it’s been entered in. I encourgae anybody bidding to come by and take a look. Some work dones less than 500 miles ago …clutch replaced, a new radiator core, new carpet, upgraded interior, mousehair dash, rebuilt Borrani’s with new Pirelli’s P4000, stainless exhaust, wrapped headers. The radio is a period blaupunkt cassette player. Engine runs fantastic!
