Recently arrived from France, this left-hand drive, 4.7-litre example has benefited from a recent inspection and service at Cecil Cars, who are a reputed restorer near Paris. The odometer indicates 75,264km (which is believed to be original) and has been enthusiast owned for the last 10 years; our vendor reports that it is in near perfect mechanical order. It’s described as a delightful older restored car with, we believe, its original leather interior. Finished in classic Maserati Red, we understand that it was repainted in the early 1990s.

This 1967 Maserati 4.7 Ghibli Coupe is an extremely rare automatic example with matching numbers that’s been patiently awaiting a straightforward restoration. Bronze metallic with original tan leather interior. It’s been off the road for several years and is not currently running. The motor is partially apart and disassembled but it comes complete with an extra head as well. An excellent original example for straightforward restoration. The Maserati Ghibli will continue to inspire future collectors as one of the most important sports cars of the Golden Era of Italian design. The exciting opportunity to own such a car is not to be missed.

This Ghibli is one of the cars delivered with the 4.9 engine in 1968. It is numbers matching.
Original colour aqua verde, interior senape.

Maserati confirms the following information: Originally manufactured in January 1968, 4700cc carburettors engine 5 speed + R manual gearbox, stamped Borrani wheels, external colour Argento Auteuil (Silver), interiors in black leather. It was delivered in USA.
This car was for sale back in 2014 as a body shell, two doors, hood and trunk lid only.

The car was originally white and last repainted in red in the mid-80’s, then repainted Grigio Flemington metallic in 2005, one of the factory colors for the Ghibli

sold new and registered in France, in Paris, on 26 June 1968 with a registration number of 4446 XV 75, which it still has.
First Owner: Mr BESSIN
Colour: Blue Notte / Molitan RS 04 (Bordeaux)
Purchased by the father of the current owner on May 17, 1976, the car was maintained regularly and carefully by Officine Alfieri Maserati SpA in Modena, which is to be seen by the various invoices and record sheets. Since when the car was passed on to the son and current owner, the car joined the latter?s collection and was registered in his name on November 18, 1987. It is interesting to note in the record that the car was exhibited in the September 1988 edition of the Bagatelle Concours d’Elegance, in the same category as an Aston Martin DB4GT, a Ferrari 250 Lusso and the Ferrari 365 P “Tre Posti”. The car was presented as an “effective competitor to the Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona.”
