Was for sale by MIE in 2007. This particular car is a superb 1970 Maserati Ghibli that has recently completed a 9 year restoration. The engine was completely rebuilt as was also the brakes and suspension. A bare metal paint was done in its original Marrone Colorado color. Connolly hides in the correct original Senape color and grain were imported from the UK. The car is fitted with its matching numbers 4.7 liter engine, 5-speed ZF gearbox, optional power steering, late style engine cylinder heads, late style interior, AC, Becker Grand Prix radio. Included are the tool kit, jack in the bag, manuals, restoration receipts, car cover and Maserati Classiche documentation. This Ghibli is stunning! It needs to be seen to be fully appreciated as photos do not do the car justice. The color and quality of the paint and interior makes it a strong contender to any serious Concours d’Elegance

Born as a Ghibli 4.7-litre coupe in March of 1970, this example was delivered new through Maserati’s distributorship in Saint Cloud in Western Paris, and it is believed to have remained in France from new. Originally finished in Blu Sera over a Black interior, it is not known exactly when the car was converted to a Spyder, nor when the interior was retrimmed in beige. Invoices on file for engine work show that the car was located on France’s west coast in the late 1980s before moving southeast to Monaco, where it was acquired by Mr Petitjean in 1996. An invoice on file from 2002 shows that the car has not been driven since then and would need to be serviced prior to returning to the road. Always in high demand, an open-top Ghibli is a car to cherish, and this would be an excellent example to drive and enjoy.

Sold at Bonhams 2011 The car on offer rolled out in March 1970. It is a Rosso Fuoco red with black leather interior, as per the official confirmation from Maserati. The car has the 5-speed gearbox and it’s the 4.9-litre version, in SS guise, without power steering, which is the most desirable of all Ghiblis, the max power being 335bhp instead of the 310bhp of the 4.7. The car was delivered new in Rome and has had just two owners since new. The odometer displays just 21,192 km since new and the engine is the original one. The second owner, a great Parisian collector, who bought it at a sale in Paris, has completely restored the car, with an overhaul of the cooling system and water pump, installation of safety belts, a stainless steel exhaust system, the fitting of a Clarion car stereo with its electric car stereo, so that today the car is running smoothly and efficiently and all the equipment function perfectly (all invoices are included in the file). Avon tires are fitted on the Campagnolo alloy rims where original little brand stickers are still there! It is equipped with tinted windows and a battery switch. The air-conditioning was redone and the seats were given new stuffing whilst maintaining the beautiful patina of the original. Coming up for sale Artcurial February 2019 Details here There were questions asked about the font used on the chassis number of this car but its been verified as authentic by Maserati / Fabio.

have owned this Ghibli for over 20 years. When I bought it it had just had a total restoration to #1 condition, on a California car by Maserati Information Exchange ( MIE)…Every part of the car was restored to perfection. Since then it has been in my collection, stored in a heated warehouse on wooded floors, serviced yearly by only one mechanic (Autoturismo, Steve Mastroiani). It was driven 50-100 miles a month, then stored in winters. It is fully sorted and one of the best driving Ghiblis available. Cosmetically it is still in show condition showing only the slightest bit of wear. If you are in the market for a Maserati Ghibli of this quality you must see and drive this example. Call for more pictures but you will want to see this car. Asking $239,000 Up for sale here…

This Maserati 4.7 Coupe is a highly authentic Swiss car, which had only four, mostly long-term owners. It was first delivered via Martinelli & Sonvico in Lugano to the ambassador of Thailand in Bern. After briefly owning the car the Ambassador sold it to a gentleman from Basel, who kept it until 1995. Until now, the car changed hands one more time in 2010. This car is a 4.7L V8 engine. It has a nice color, typical maserati color from the ’70, called “Rame”.Between orange and brown. The car has been sold new in Rome in 1970.. Afterwards the car went to London in 1988 The owner Mr Richard Gregorian kept the car until 2013. In 2013 the car was purchased by a Belgian industrialist. The car drives fantastically, you just turn the key and it goes on with an amazing sound of the V8 engine. Really a marvelous car to enjoy a nice ride in the weekends. |
