By virtue of its chassis number, it is clear that this striking SS Coupe is among the last examples built, and therefore benefits from the steady evolution of factory upgrades and changes that occurred during Ghibli production. As chassis no. 2508 is generally regarded as the final Ghibli built, and as coupes solely used even numbers, the featured car is almost certainly the penultimate example in the numbering sequence (and likely among the last few built by date). This SS therefore was equipped with such desirable features as power steering, a Bonaldi brake booster, bolt-on Campagnolo wheels, Veglia gauges, dashboard rocker switches, and a Vitaloni stalk.

This Maserati Ghibli 4.9SS began life as a coupe and was converted to a Spyder. The seller has owned it for 4 years and purchased it from an individual in the Bay Area who had owned it for 10 years. The conversion is believed to have been done by Straman in the ’80s, and this Ghibli is still powered by its original 4.9L SS engine #2024 with quad Weber carburetors and a ZF 5-speed gearbox. Service is up to date and the car is ready to drive following the installation of new front suspension, a brake system overhaul, timing chain replacement, and more work as detailed below. It is now offered with a clean California title and a reproduction tool kit.
